A Dra. Weatherston atualmente \u00e9 supervisora e consultora em sa\u00fade mental infantil em pr\u00e1tica privada no Michigan. Ela foi coautora e primeira diretora executiva da Alliance for the Advancement of Infant Mental Health, Inc.\u00ae, uma organiza\u00e7\u00e3o reconhecida nacional e internacionalmente cuja miss\u00e3o \u00e9 promover o desenvolvimento de m\u00e3o de obra atrav\u00e9s da compet\u00eancia baseada em evid\u00eancias. Endorsement para uma pr\u00e1tica culturalmente sens\u00edvel e focada no relacionamento que promove a sa\u00fade mental da inf\u00e2ncia e da primeira inf\u00e2ncia <\/em>(2016-2018).\u00a0 <\/em>Antes disso, ela foi Diretora Executiva da Associa\u00e7\u00e3o de Sa\u00fade Mental Infantil do Michigan (2002-2016), uma organiza\u00e7\u00e3o que promove a forma\u00e7\u00e3o, educa\u00e7\u00e3o e experi\u00eancias de pr\u00e1tica reflexiva para profissionais de diversas disciplinas e em diversos contextos de atendimento. Ela obteve seus t\u00edtulos de mestrado na Universidade Estadual de Wayne, em Detroit, Michigan, onde co-desenvolveu e dirigiu o Programa de Certificado de P\u00f3s-Gradua\u00e7\u00e3o especializado e interdisciplinar em Sa\u00fade Mental Infantil atrav\u00e9s do Merrill-Palmer Institute, da Universidade Estadual de Wayne, em Detroit, Michigan (1988-2002).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

O Dr. Weatherston contribuiu para o campo da sa\u00fade mental infantil com a co-edi\u00e7\u00e3o e co-autoria de livros sobre os princ\u00edpios e pr\u00e1ticas da sa\u00fade mental infantil: Servi\u00e7os de Sa\u00fade Mental Infantil de Apoio \u00e0s Compet\u00eancias\/Redu\u00e7\u00e3o de Riscos (1989\/2002\/2015)<\/em>) com Betty Tableman <\/em>e Estudos de caso sobre sa\u00fade mental infantil: risco, resili\u00eancia e relacionamentos (2002) <\/em>com Joan Shirilla. <\/em>Em 2009 e novamente em 2016,<\/em> Co-editado com Joy Osofsky duas edi\u00e7\u00f5es especiais da revista Revista de Sa\u00fade Mental Infantil<\/em> que se concentrou na pr\u00e1tica, treinamento, supervis\u00e3o reflexiva e pesquisa em sa\u00fade mental infantil.  <\/em>Ela publicou artigos na revista Infant Mental Health Journal e no Journal for Zero to Three sobre pr\u00e1tica e supervis\u00e3o reflexiva, entre outros.:<\/em> Supervis\u00e3o reflexiva: apoiar a reflex\u00e3o como elemento fundamental da compet\u00eancia (2010)<\/em> com Bob e Barbra Weigand, Componentes Cr\u00edticos da Supervis\u00e3o Reflexiva: Respostas de Supervisores Especializados no Campo (2014) <\/em>com Angie Tomlin e Tom Pavkov,<\/em> e O Modelo de Visitas Home Visitantes de Sa\u00fade Mental Infantil do Michigan (2020) <\/em>com Julie Ribaudo e o Michigan Research Collaborative.<\/em>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Weatherston \u00e9 membro do programa de p\u00f3s-gradua\u00e7\u00e3o ZERO to THREE (1999-2000), al\u00e9m de ser editor consultor do Revista de Sa\u00fade Mental Infantil<\/em>, Atualmente \u00e9 membro do Conselho Plen\u00e1rio da Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Mundial para a Sa\u00fade Mental da Inf\u00e2ncia (WAIMH) (2012-2016) e foi editor da WAIMH.
