O professor Stephen W. Porges, PhD, \u00e9 Cientista Universit\u00e1rio Distinto da Universidade de Indiana, professor de psiquiatria da Universidade da Carolina do Norte e professor em\u00e9rito da Universidade de Illinois em Chicago e da Universidade de Maryland. Ele publicou mais de 400 artigos cient\u00edficos revisados por pares, que foram citados em mais de 50.000 artigos revisados por pares, e det\u00e9m diversas patentes relacionadas ao monitoramento e regula\u00e7\u00e3o do estado aut\u00f4nomo.
