Mientras te miro con tus padres,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Un beb\u00e9 reci\u00e9n nacido.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Me pregunto\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bfQu\u00e9 te traer\u00e1 alegr\u00eda?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bfC\u00f3mo estar\u00e1s en este mundo?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Me maravilla tu capacidad de estar en este momento\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Confiar en tus sentidos para saber c\u00f3mo sentirte, c\u00f3mo ser<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reflexi\u00f3n:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Me inspir\u00f3 a escribir este poema despu\u00e9s de enterarme de que abril era el mes nacional de la poes\u00eda y el tema era el misterio. Como m\u00e9dico y pediatra, siempre me ha atra\u00eddo el misterio de los seres humanos. \u00bfC\u00f3mo funcionan nuestros cuerpos? \u00bfC\u00f3mo se pueden reparar? \u00bfQu\u00e9 necesita la gente de m\u00ed y c\u00f3mo puedo ayudarla? He disfrutado de la b\u00fasqueda de las pistas. Como pediatra, los reci\u00e9n nacidos han ejercido durante mucho tiempo una fascinaci\u00f3n particular sobre m\u00ed. Aprender a observar su comportamiento, describir lo que veo a sus seres queridos y darles a los reci\u00e9n nacidos una \u201cvoz\u201d ha sido un deleite y una gran satisfacci\u00f3n profesional. Creo que ha sido de gran ayuda para descifrar el misterio de cada reci\u00e9n nacido. El reciente nacimiento de mi nieta est\u00e1 muy presente en mi mente. Tuve la oportunidad de conocerla y ayudar a mis nietos a conocerla, lo cual fue muy especial para m\u00ed y creo que para ellos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cada d\u00eda, al trabajar como m\u00e9dico hospitalista en una sala de reci\u00e9n nacidos, tengo el privilegio de conocer a reci\u00e9n nacidos y asombrarme y maravillarme junto a sus familias. Quer\u00eda escribir este poema como una expresi\u00f3n de gratitud a Berry Brazelton, a Kevin Nugent y a todo el profesorado que ha compartido conmigo su conocimiento sobre el comportamiento neonatal, y a todos los padres que han compartido a sus preciosos beb\u00e9s conmigo.<\/p>\n<\/div>
