Dr. Nadia Bruschweiler-Stern is a Pediatrician and a Child Psychiatrist. Her clinical, teaching and research work is focused on early development of infants, the psychological metamorphosis of parents around birth, and the formation of attachment and intersubjective relationships. She trained at the University of Geneva, Switzerland, and in the United States at Brown University, Harvard University, and at UC Davis. She has been working closely with her husband, Prof. Daniel Stern for thirty years. She was awarded the Prize for Scientific Research in Prevention in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy in 1988 for her work “Preventive Interventions in the Early Mother-Child Relationship”.
