Este art\u00edculo examina los conceptos clave desarrollados durante los \u00faltimos cuarenta a\u00f1os y la evidencia emp\u00edrica m\u00e1s reciente con respecto a la relaci\u00f3n de la madre con el beb\u00e9 por nacer. La primera parte del art\u00edculo describe los conceptos clave, sus or\u00edgenes te\u00f3ricos y lo que la evidencia sugiere en t\u00e9rminos de la concordancia entre la relaci\u00f3n prenatal y la crianza en el per\u00edodo postnatal. La segunda parte del art\u00edculo examina las implicaciones de esta evidencia con respecto al enfoque de las intervenciones prenatales, y resume los hallazgos de la evidencia m\u00e1s reciente en t\u00e9rminos de lo que funciona para mejorar la relaci\u00f3n de la madre con el beb\u00e9 por nacer tanto en mujeres embarazadas de bajo como de alto riesgo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jane Barlow (DPhil, FFPH Hon) es profesora de Intervenci\u00f3n Basada en la Evidencia y Evaluaci\u00f3n de Pol\u00edticas en el Departamento de Pol\u00edtica Social e Intervenci\u00f3n de la Universidad de Oxford. La investigaci\u00f3n de Jane se centra en el desarrollo y la evaluaci\u00f3n de intervenciones di\u00e1dicas durante el periodo perinatal destinadas a promover la salud mental infantil y reducir las desigualdades sanitarias y sociales posteriores. Tambi\u00e9n lleva a cabo investigaciones para evaluar la eficacia de las intervenciones dirigidas a prevenir el maltrato infantil y es directora del programa de formaci\u00f3n doctoral biopsicosocial Leverhulme. Actualmente es presidenta de AIMH UK, representante del Consejo de Afiliados de la Junta Ejecutiva de WAIMH, editora asociada del Infant Mental Health Journal y fue miembro de PreVAiL (Prevenci\u00f3n de la Violencia a lo largo de la Vida).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
