El sistema de Observaciones del Comportamiento del Reci\u00e9n Nacido (NBO) es una herramienta cl\u00ednica flexible dise\u00f1ada para ayudar a los padres a comprender las estrategias de comunicaci\u00f3n y la individualidad de su beb\u00e9, con el objetivo de fortalecer la relaci\u00f3n entre padres e hijo. Desde su creaci\u00f3n a principios del siglo XXI, con ra\u00edces en la Escala de Evaluaci\u00f3n del Comportamiento Neonatal y la Teor\u00eda Sinactiva del Desarrollo, el NBO se ha adaptado para su uso en diversos entornos, desde UCIN altamente tecnol\u00f3gicas hasta aldeas rurales con recursos limitados. Con el tiempo, los fundamentos te\u00f3ricos del NBO se han ampliado m\u00e1s all\u00e1 del marco original para comprender el comportamiento del reci\u00e9n nacido (Infant AMOR) para considerar tambi\u00e9n la contribuci\u00f3n del padre o madre a la relaci\u00f3n de cuidado (Parent AMOR) y el papel del profesional en el apoyo al lactante y al progenitor (Practitioner AMOR). Al reflexionar sobre los or\u00edgenes del NBO y c\u00f3mo ha evolucionado con el tiempo, hacemos un balance del presente e imaginamos juntos lo que deparar\u00e1 el futuro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dra. Lise Johnson<\/strong> es la directora del Instituto Brazelton en el Hospital Infantil de Boston. Pediatra general de formaci\u00f3n, la Dra. Johnson dedic\u00f3 la primera d\u00e9cada de su carrera a la atenci\u00f3n primaria pedi\u00e1trica. Desde 2001 trabaja como m\u00e9dica hospitalista de reci\u00e9n nacidos en el Hospital Brigham and Women\u2019s, donde tambi\u00e9n se desempe\u00f1\u00f3 como directora m\u00e9dica de Cuidado de Reci\u00e9n Nacidos Sanos hasta 2019. La Dra. Johnson es instructora principal (Master Trainer) de la NBO y coautora del Manual de la NBO.
