En enero de este a\u00f1o, mi marido y yo nos mudamos a Myanmar para trabajar como voluntarios a trav\u00e9s de una ONG canadiense. Tuve la suerte de entrar en contacto con una organizaci\u00f3n que cuenta con una casa de acogida para mujeres que han sufrido violencia. Una de las mujeres que lleg\u00f3 a la casa de acogida era una antigua trabajadora del sector del sexo. Hab\u00eda vendido a su beb\u00e9 a alguien por aproximadamente $15,00 USD. La directora de la casa de acogida se enter\u00f3 de esto, localiz\u00f3 a la madre y volvi\u00f3 a comprar al beb\u00e9. Se acord\u00f3 que la madre se quedar\u00eda en la casa de acogida de forma gratuita siempre y cuando amamantara exclusivamente a su beb\u00e9 durante seis meses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despu\u00e9s de eso, si quer\u00eda, pod\u00eda dar al beb\u00e9 en adopci\u00f3n. Por supuesto, la esperanza era que la mam\u00e1 formara un v\u00ednculo y decidiera quedarse con su hijo. Inmediatamente pens\u00e9 que pod\u00eda ayudar a apoyar esto mostr\u00e1ndole a la mam\u00e1 qu\u00e9 ser humano tan incre\u00edble era su hijo mediante el uso de la OBN. \u00a1Qu\u00e9 \u00e9xito! No solo la mam\u00e1 estaba sorprendida, sino que otras mujeres en la casa estaban participando e interesadas. Otra parte importante de esta historia es que todo esto se hizo sin int\u00e9rprete. La mam\u00e1 no habla ingl\u00e9s y yo solo tengo unas pocas palabras en birmano. El lenguaje corporal es universal. Han pasado varias semanas desde esa primera OBN.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Como instructora de masaje infantil formada a trav\u00e9s de la IAIM, tambi\u00e9n he estado introduciendo el poder del tacto. \u00a1La madre le da masajes a su beb\u00e9 todos los d\u00edas y me muestra c\u00f3mo su beb\u00e9 responde a su voz y a su tacto! Ayer le dijo al director de la casa de acogida que se quedar\u00eda con su hijo. El uso de la NBO brind\u00f3 la oportunidad de mejorar el apego entre la madre y el beb\u00e9, pero tambi\u00e9n me permiti\u00f3 conectar con la madre a trav\u00e9s de su beb\u00e9.<\/p>\n<\/div>
