Llevo m\u00e1s de 20 a\u00f1os en el campo, todos ellos con el programa Head Start de Community Action Pioneer Valley en el oeste de Massachusetts. Nuestro programa tiene como objetivo apoyar a toda la unidad familiar, centr\u00e1ndose al mismo tiempo en la relaci\u00f3n entre padres e hijos. He utilizado el NBO con familias que experimentan un trastorno por consumo de sustancias (SUD, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s), aunque no exclusivamente, y podr\u00edamos hacerlo mejor para llegar a esta poblaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He descubierto que es una herramienta maravillosa para facilitar el v\u00ednculo entre los beb\u00e9s y sus padres con trastorno por consumo de sustancias (SUD). Un caso en particular se quedar\u00e1 grabado en m\u00ed. Una madre con SUD, que lleg\u00f3 a nuestro programa cargando una inmensa cantidad de culpa y preocupaci\u00f3n, junto con depresi\u00f3n posparto (y comenzamos a preocuparnos por el apego). Me permiti\u00f3 unirme a su visitadora domiciliaria y realizar el NBO con ella. Hizo muchas preguntas y prest\u00f3 mucha atenci\u00f3n. Al final de la sesi\u00f3n, le sonre\u00eda a su beb\u00e9 y se castigaba un poco menos a siebie. En la siguiente visita, el personal de visitas domiciliarias le entreg\u00f3 el informe para padres con mis observaciones para que se lo quedara. Me dijeron que se lo ley\u00f3 en voz alta a su beb\u00e9 y lo celebr\u00f3 por \u00e9l y por ella misma.
