Para las familias, la atenci\u00f3n primaria idealmente implica una relaci\u00f3n de confianza y continuidad con un profesional de la salud. Desde una perspectiva sist\u00e9mica, la atenci\u00f3n primaria es la primera l\u00ednea de atenci\u00f3n accesible y preventiva. Para un beb\u00e9, se podr\u00eda decir que la atenci\u00f3n primaria es el primer lugar donde se le ve como persona. Esta charla se basar\u00e1 en el trabajo cl\u00ednico y de investigaci\u00f3n y en vi\u00f1etas en v\u00eddeo para considerar la importancia central de un enfoque relacional de la salud mental infantil dentro de la atenci\u00f3n primaria y la medicina familiar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dra. Susan Nicolson<\/strong> es una m\u00e9dica de familia con 30 a\u00f1os de experiencia y una cl\u00ednica de salud mental infantil. Es profesora asociada en el Departamento de Medicina General y Atenci\u00f3n Primaria de la Universidad de Melbourne.. <\/strong>En el Royal Women\u2019s Hospital de Melbourne, Susan trabaja en el servicio de salud mental de la mujer y es la coordinadora local de NBO Australasia. Es formadora experta en el sistema de Observaciones del Comportamiento del Reci\u00e9n Nacido (NBO, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) y, en ese puesto, ha trabajado con el Fideicomiso de Psicoterapia Ububele en Sud\u00e1frica y el Servicio Aborigen del Distrito de Mallee en Australia. Ella y sus colegas realizaron el primer ensayo controlado aleatorizado (RCT) para evaluar la NBO en una poblaci\u00f3n australiana en riesgo (Nicolson, Carron y Paul, IMHJ, 2023).
